Classes will be hybrid in nature, meaning 1 night-a-week lecture with an online homework component, and 8 weeks in length. We look forward to serving you and helping you meet your career goals!
Scholarship is continuously awarded as students apply and will be first come first serve.A maximum of 50 Van Wert Scholarships will be awarded.Scholarship is good for Fall 2024 semester for one class (3 credit hours).Tuition-only scholarship; technology, textbook, and other standard fees still apply.
July 31, 2024 - VAN WERT, OHIO - Business Boot Camp 2024 offered an immersive journey for aspiring and established entrepreneurs focused on igniting business growth, knowledge sharing, and fostering community development. The first of the three-part program, the Entrepreneur Workshop, was held in February. Designed to empower attendees with crucial insights, resources, and best practices for business success, the workshop featured a diverse panel of local business professionals and community development organizations, ensuring a wide range of perspectives and experiences were shared. June 21, 2024 - VAN WERT, OHIO - The old Kennedy Kit factory on 520 E. Sycamore Street was the site of an unusual event on Thursday morning—a wall signing. The event celebrated the interior demolition by Alexander and Bebout of the office building and the next stage of development for the Northwest State satellite campus—set to open in spring, 2025. The idea for the signing was Jon Tomlinson’s. Tomlinson, the Dean of the Van Wert Campus, had done something similar as a member of his church years earlier. Read More
June 21, 2024 - VAN WERT, OHIO - The future home of Northwest State Community College’s Van Wert campus has received a nice and somwhat unexpected financial boost. June 20, 2024 - VAN WERT, OHIO - Members of the Northwest State Community College board of trustees, along with media representatives and other invited guests, got their first glimpse Thursday of what will be the future home of an NSCC branch campus in Van Wert. College officials expect the under-renovation location at 520 E. Sycamore St. to open its doors to college students in January 2025. The prearranged open house was buoyed Thursday by a surprise announcement from Todd Hernandez, NSCC president, that $3.4 million in state capital budget funding has been approved by the Ohio Legislature for use in completing the Van Wert facility. October 12, 2023 - ARCHBOLD, OHIO - Northwest State Community College recently hosted its 3rd Annual Van Wert Campus Golf Outing on Friday, September 15th at Hickory Sticks Golf Club in Van Wert. 96 participants enjoyed a fun day of golf, games and prizes, all in an effort to raise NSCC scholarship dollars for Paulding and Van Wert learners. September 09, 2023 - Van Wert, OHIO - The Van Wert Chamber of Commerce hosted a graduation and recognition breakfast for their 2023 Leadership Van Wert County cohort at Willow Bend Country Club on Wednesday. The group recently completed their annual service project by soliciting funding to help build a new 4-H Horse Show Arena at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Starting July 1, 2023, graduates from Northwest State may transfer up to 66 college credits toward a Bachelor of Applied Science degree at Purdue Fort Wayne.
