Welcome to TRIO Student Support Services
What are TRIO programs? Our mission is to provide support, encouragement and information that empowers our students to maximize their potential and be successful academically, personally and professionally.
Who is eligible?
Eligibility is based on federally defined criteria where at least one of the following must be met:
- First generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree)
- Limited income as defined by federal guidelines (verified by staff)
- Have a documented learning or physical disability
Applicants must be:
- Registered for classes at NSCC
- Enrolled in an associate degree or certificate program
- In good academic standing based on NSCC’s requirements
- A U.S citizen or permanent resident

- Workshops/events
- Financial literacy training
- FAFSA/financial aid assistance
- Resource center
- Educational enhancement activities
