Campus Counseling Center
Being a successful student involves more than earning a good grade on a test. Leading a healthy, balanced life is key to finding success in the classroom and beyond. The NSCC Campus Counseling Center is here to help.
Sometimes life can be overwhelming and having someone to talk to can make all the difference. Students who are facing relationship problems, depression, addiction, stress, anxiety or other issues are encouraged to utilize this no-charge, confidential service.
You do not have to face these issues alone.
Hope, our on-campus clinician, is here to support your mental health.

Visit Hope on campus in A201B during office hours on Mondays from 9:00 am–1:30 pm. Face-to-face or virtual appointments are available. Call or text 419-591-6487 for mental health support and you will receive a prompt reply.

The NSCC Campus Counseling Center, supported by the Center for Child & Family Advocacy in Napoleon, provides no-charge services for NSCC students, including crisis intervention, information & referrals, and personal counseling.

Clothing Closet
The NSCC Professional Career Clothing Closet offers free attire for students in need.
Whether you want to look your best for an upcoming interview, a class presentation or current employment, the clothing closet can help outfit you with professional attire.
An NSCC ID or N number and a photo ID must be presented when picking up items.

Hours of Operation: Open during regular financial aid business hours and by appointment as needed.
The NSCC Food Pantry offers food staples and personal care products free of charge to current students and staff. Those in need, no matter the reason, can pick up items in a private environment.

An NSCC ID or N number and a photo ID must be presented when picking up items. Items typically available include:
Rice and pasta
Canned goods
Shampoo and conditioner
Laundry products

If you are interested in supporting the food pantry by volunteering your time, please contact us. Donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products are always welcome and appreciated. Items can be dropped off in C110B. The NSCC Food Pantry is made possible through the generous donations of NSCC faculty and staff.
Military and Veteran Services
Northwest State Community College welcomes veterans, military service members and their dependents. Our staff and faculty are dedicated to assisting you in transitioning into college and supporting you in meeting your educational goals.
At NSCC, we understand that the transition to student life can be challenging, yet rewarding. With that in mind, we have worked very hard to ease this transition for you.

Testing & Tutoring Center
Tutoring and testing services are available in several formats at our Success Center.
Walk-In: Visit the learning lounge (near the bookstore) for face-to-face or remote tutoring. Tutors are available for math, writing, life sciences, business and computer courses. Days and times vary by semester. See current hours and tutors.
By Appointment: Schedule small group or one-on-one tutoring by calling 419-267-1447, emailing success@northweststate.edu or visiting A101N.
Online Tutoring: Group, one-on-one and drop-in services are available.
TRIO Student Support Services
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program helps first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities succeed academically, personally, and professionally. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, it provides support, encouragement, and resources to help students graduate and/or transfer while emphasizing values like integrity, compassion, and empowerment.
