What is Choose Ohio First (COF)?

The COF Scholarship Program is a state-funded scholarship offered to increase the number of Ohioans studying and working in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The COF Scholarship covers tuition, general fees, and books purchased at the NSCC Bookstore (does not include lab fees or other non-general fees), and is available to both part-time and full-time learners. Scholarship award amounts are $3,033 per semester for full-time students and $1,519 per semester for part-time students, but these totals are subject to change based upon an individual student’s fees. The scholarship is renewable, based upon continued state funding and awardees’ adherence to the scholarship requirements.
