Who we Are
The Northwest State Community College Foundation was established in 1978 to provide support for the students, people and programs of NSCC. For nearly 40 years, the foundation has remained true to its mission to enhance, expand and sustain Northwest State so that NSCC can continue to fulfill its mission of creating opportunities for transformational learning. The NSCC Foundation works diligently to raise much-needed funds for educational opportunities that directly and indirectly impact students.
The Northwest State Community College Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c)(3). Foundation financials and/or 990 tax forms are available upon request by contacting Jennifer Thome, CFO at 419-267-1223 or by emailing jthome@NorthwestState.edu.
How you can Help
You can help us equip students with the best resources available, whether it is scholarships, new equipment for training, or new programming. Your financial gift can help us accomplish our goal.
What we Do
The foundation’s endowment earnings and donor contributions have had a great impact on the College. Our investment funds are currently worth $8 million, with the foundation providing over $9 million in gifts to the College over the last 15 years. Our Changing Lives Scholarship Campaign has provided over $6 million in student scholarships.
Refer a Student to Northwest State
Would you like to help a future student benefit from a Northwest State education? Refer a new student to Northwest State and you may be eligible for a gift card valued at $50!
In order for you to be eligible, you must refer a student to Northwest State, and they must apply and then enroll in the upcoming semester.
Annual Events

Golf Outing
Every year we hold a golf outing full of golf, games and prizes, all in an effort to raise NSCC scholarship dollars.

Green Carpet Event
Each spring, the NSCC Foundation invites the community to enjoy an evening of entertainment while supporting NSCC students.

Purse Bingo
Purse Bingo is an exciting and energetic event where guests enjoy an evening of fun, prizes, and designer purses- all while supporting scholarships for Northwest State students!
Donor Bill of Rights
Each year, the NSCC Foundation will recognize individuals and businesses/corporations, which have supported the programs and activities of NSCC Community College through the foundation.
Your gift of cash, real estate, stock, securities, properties or insurance programs will be highlighted in the foundation recognition program.
Additionally, if you have a place of employment which provides a matching gift program, the company is recognized as well.
Donor Bill of Rights Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life.
