The Healthcare Community provides learners with the opportunity to influence the lives of others across the lifespan to both maintain and improve their health through the exploration of science and mathematics, leading to impactful careers that will help make a difference in the lives of others.
The healthcare community at NSCC is located within the Division of Nursing and Allied Health and offers a variety of Associate Degrees and certificates. Each of the healthcare majors prepares the graduate with the skills to provide care to others within the scope of practice for that major. Each of the majors provides the student with clinical experiences which assist the graduate to apply the physical, communication, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making skills necessary to be a successful healthcare provider. Upon program completion, graduates of the healthcare majors will have met the requirements to take their specific certification or licensure examinations.
