You may have heard that majoring in the liberal arts is old-fashioned and impractical, but these disciplines have withstood the test of time and continue to prepare the world's most innovative and impactful leaders. The truth is the liberal arts are timeless and they teach crossing-cutting communication, problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking, quantitative and information literacy skills. It’s no coincidence that successful tech giants study the shift from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance periods to understand our current technological boom or that lawyers groomed in undergraduate English programs are successful at oral arguments in the courtroom.
