Workforce Summit Held at NSCC

“Preparing for Challenges in the Workforce” summit was held at Northwest State Community College Tuesday, Feb. 7. Representatives from education, business and government met to hear about the current issues and initiatives that are being developed in the region and throughout the state to keep Ohio moving forward in workforce development to meet employer needs.

Discussing the future of education and workforce training for Ohio are: Gary Cates, senior vice chancellor for the Ohio Department of Education; Dr. John Richard, deputy state superintendent of public instruction; Jim Hoops, associate vice president for strategic initiatives at NSCC; State Representative Craid Riedel; and Ryan Burgess, governor's office of workforce transformation.
