About
We’re glad to have you at Northwest State Community College! As a current student, you need to accomplish the “to-dos” listed below each term in order to complete your
education at NSCC.
Connie Klingshirn, registrar in C120, is here to process your educational benefits, maintain eligibility and troubleshoot payment and other
issues. Connie will submit enrollment and tuition information to the VA Regional Processing Office and/or to your student’s veteran readiness counselor. In addition,
she may serve as a central resource regarding other programs and resources available to veterans and military-connected students, both on campus and in the surrounding
community.
Reminder
- Review your classes regularly with your academic advisor
- File for Financial Aid each year
- Get involved in clubs and organizations
Stay Informed
Check your College email account often. You will regularly receive emails regarding financial aid, registering for classes, applying for graduation, etc.
Register
Notices are sent when it is time to register for the upcoming term. When registration is open you may register via myNSCC.
Visit the Registrar’s Office
Students receiving educational benefits must complete the
Veterans Enrollment Certification Request Form
each term. If you change your major or your class schedule or completely withdraw after you have submitted this form, you will need to notify: Connie Klingshirn at
419.267.1329 or cklingshirn@NorthwestState.edu.
We are required to certify your enrollment each term with the VA. Failure to report any schedule or major changes to the certifying official in the registrar’s office
may result in an over payment, which the VA will require you to repay.
Stay On Track
Verify that the courses you take each term are right for your academic program through Degree Works. If you have transferred in prior credits, check how they might
apply.
