Trauma Simulation

Northwest State’s nursing simulation team, in conjunction with the adult education branch of Four County Career Center, recently conducted a trauma simulation at the College. In addition to the simulated lab explosion in the E wing, an ambulance transported patients to another part of campus. The simulated patients were in various stages of moulage, creating realistic wounds and injuries, which students had to assess and triage. The simulation is an annual event that provides a unique, hands-on learning opportunity for students from both educational institutions. View the photo album.
