NEXT STEPS

Your Next Steps to Joining the NSCC Community

After submitting your application and being admitted to NSCC, you will want to complete some next steps before you are ready for advising. These steps are outlined for you below. In addition to the steps below, you will want to make sure you have an official copy of any transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions at NSCC. The institution can send them by email to Admissions@NorthwestState.edu.

Create Your MyNSCC Account

Upon receiving your admission email and letter, you will be assigned a student ID number called an N Number and student email address. You will need your N number to set up your student account called MyNSCC. Click below to begin the process to activate your new account. Once your account is created, you will use your student email as your username.

Complete Placement Testing

In order to help us get you ready for advising and the correct class sequence, we require students to complete testing coming into NSCC. You can either submit scores from a previously taken ACT/SAT or schedule a time to complete the Accuplacer. The Accuplacer is a placement test that covers skill in writing, reading, and mathematics. Online Learning Readiness (OLR)

The OLR is a required assessment for all students looking to take an online course. Even if you do not take an online course during your first semester at NSCC, OLR is helpful to complete ahead of registering for classes in case it becomes an option. The OLR typically takes 45-60 minutes to complete.
