Summer Tutoring Update

The NSCC Success Center has a wealth of academic support services available to assist you. All of these tutoring services are free of charge and offered remotely during the summer term.

Drop-In Virtual Tutoring Options
Students needing assistance in math, statistics, chemistry and physics can connect with Dan Light, tutor, Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Students needing help in math; statistics; any computer-related course, including
python programming; and accounting 111 & 112 can connect with Rebecca Dent-Weiss,
tutor, Monday-Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. via Zoom.

Tutoring by Appointment
Tutors are also available on Thursday to assist students as needed. Please email the Success Center at success@NorthwestState.edu if you are in need of
tutoring assistance on a Thursday, and we will connect you with a tutor who can assist you.

Barry VonDeylen will also be available to tutor in all accounting and business-related classes. You can contact him directly at bvondeylen@NorthwestState.edu.

For writing assistance, life science (biology), or any other subject area not referenced
above, email success@NorthwestState.edu and let us know what subject area you need assistance with. Your email will then be directed to a tutor who can assist
you.

Please Note: If you need writing assistance, please attach the paper that you would like the tutor to review with your initial email tutor request so we can forward it to the
tutor without delay. If you would like to meet with the writing tutor, please let us know,
otherwise, the tutor will review your paper and return it to you with their embedded comments and feedback.

Virtual tutors will be serving students this summer Monday through Thursday during
the morning and afternoon hours. If you are not available to meet with a tutor during that time, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
