Agriculture is STEM : Come explore college and career pathways in agriculture with NSCC’s Ag Camp. This opportunity give participants an experience that will excite this generation about careers in agriculture and our natural resources. Discovering STEM : Kids are inherently curious as they grow and learn new things every day. STEM Camp is a great way to engage all kids in hands on activities that can later become successful carriers! Let’s Build a Robot I : In this beginning level camp, campers will learn to build and program a LEGO EV3 Mindstorms robot. Campers will develop skills to maneuver robot through a maze, learn to use sensors and attachments. Campers will be introduced to the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Program. Good basic skills for students interested in participating on a FLL team. Min4/Max 8

Entrepreneurship Camp: Learn how to make good decisions, find opportunities, build your brand and develop good networking skills from the renowned Ice House. Min. 5/Max. 9

Let’s Build a Robot II: In this advanced level camp, campers will design and build their robot, then learn advanced programming techniques to maneuver robot to complete field missions. Students will use sensors and logic programs to complete missions. Pre-Requisite: Camper needs to have completed Beginning Robot Camp or completed one year on a FLL team. Min. 4/Max. 8 As spots fill up, an afternoon session may be added.

Cyber Camp: In this hands-on camp students will learn about IT networking, programming structures, configuring a Raspberry Pi computer, Ethernet switches and cabling, wireless access points, VPN concentrators, firewalls, safe online activity, and careers in IT. Each student will receive their own wire-tool kit, router and a Raspberry Pi. Min. 5/ Max. 9

Exploring STEM: Join us for Exploring STEM as we dive deeper into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! There is always more to learn and in these ever changing fields. Exercise your brain with our Escape Room and Friendly Math Feud. Learn how to extract DNA and explore the chemical properties of Liquid Nitrogen during the COOL Nitrogen demo. Filmmaking Camp: This camp will provide an introduction to narrative and documentary filmmaking. This camp will include sections on script writing, pre-production, filming and editing. This week long camp culminates with a film screening of the participant’s projects. Min. 5/Max. 9

Make-It Camp: Come join us for Make-It Camp and learn how to create fun, useful things with your best tools – your hands! In every session you will create something different, all while learning the background of the items you are working with. At the Make-It Camp, everyone will have the opportunity to create their very own tie dye tee shirt, candle and bouncy ball; as well as test out our simulation welder and dissect a computer! There is something here for everyone! Min. 5/ Max. 9 As spots fill up, an afternoon session may be added.

Robots and Drones: Campers will build and program an EV3 LEGO Mindstorms robot to perform space challenges. Then they will learn to fly the drone to deliver a payload onto the planet surface. Pre-Requisite: Must have completed beginning level robot camp or participation on a FLL team. Min. 4/Max. 8

E-sports Camp: Designed to meet the needs of the rising e-sports community in Northwest Ohio. This camp includes 1-on-1 individual coaching, tactical game training, and a session on coaching and mentorship. The camp culminates in a single day e-sports tournament. Coaches will also be invited to the single day coaches’ camp. As spots fill up, an afternoon session may be added. Min. 4/Max. 9
Camp Dates: July 27-30, Time: 8 a.m.–Noon, Cost: $99, Grades: Rising 8-12
Please note, we will be following COVID-19 guidelines:
- Temperatures will be taken at drop off. Students with a fever of 100 degrees will not be permitted to enter the facility.
- Students will be required to wash hands upon entering the facility and before they leave camp.
- Campers must wear a face covering unless other circumstances prevent it. We will provide bottled water and a packaged snack to the students.
- It is recommended that parents and caregivers wear a mask at drop-off and pick-up. Parents will not be allowed to enter the building.
