Congratulations to Ronda Fabiano on becoming the first NSCC graduate to earn the Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-Based credential through the American Health Information Management Association! This prestigious credential signifies that Ronda has attained mastery-level skill in medical coding. Ronda’s scores exceeded the national average.
Ronda credits faculty members Ann Zeller and Beth Nafziger for giving her the education and support she needed to prepare for the exam. “The support from the faculty has been amazing,” Rhonda shared. “You receive the results of the certification exam as soon as you leave the testing room, and I could not look at it at first. When I turned it over and it said, ‘Congratulations, you passed!’, I was in shock. I knew there was no more I could do to prepare for it and I just went in and did it. I know that this is just another stepping stone to an exciting future full of opportunities I never knew existed before going to Northwest State.”
Ronda graduated in May 2016 with an associate of applied business in office administrative services/medical support. With her degree and newly-attained credential, she is confident she will find a position in the coding field.
