The youngest of six children, Robert Reyes and his family moved from Chicago to northwest Ohio when he was 11. Although his family didn’t place a strong emphasis on education, Robert grew to understand the importance of getting an education and defining a career path.
While at NSCC, Robert enlisted in a regional Marine Corps reserve unit, noting that serving his country was equally important to continuing his education. In 2010, he graduated from NSCC along with his sister Gladys, and they were the first members of their family to earn college degrees.
After graduating from NSCC, Robert continued his education at IPFW, earning his bachelor’s through Purdue University. He is now employed in his field, working with children with autism.
