High school dropout is a term that described Michael Shadbolt in the past, but it isn’t defining his future. After earning his GED, Michael decided to pursue an education at NSCC. Unsure he would succeed in college, Michael turned to his instructors for support and found the help he needed to achieve a 4.0 GPA in his first semester. Now, Michael is on the path to a bright future and a promising career in industrial technologies. He was selected as the 2016 Scholarship Reception student speaker, where he shared more about his struggles and successes in life.
