NSCC Proud: Elizabeth (Sue) Fiser

Elizabeth Fiser shared why she is NSCC Proud:

“I recently accepted a position as senior specialist, physician training, THV medical affairs with Edwards Lifesciences, the global leader in transcatheter heart valves. I started this diverse career as a graduate of the very first class of registered nurses at (what was still) Northwest Technical College. We started with 22 students and graduated 11. After two grueling years as a student nurse, I was awarded the Health Sciences Award of Excellence and went on to specialize in cardiovascular nursing. After many years in the cardiac cath lab, I transitioned into medical device training support. In this role, I have supported training programs around the globe. I’ve worked in Japan, South Korea, and all over Europe and the U.S. My new position is the highlight of my career, and I can’t help but look back in amazement at my humble beginnings as a new nurse from northwest Ohio where I laid the foundation for this exciting ride.”
