NSCC Foundation Gives $488,500 to Support Students & Training

During the most recent board of trustees meeting, Peter Beck, chair of the NSCC Foundation, presented a check for $488,500 to the College from the Northwest State Community College Foundation. The money is designated for scholarships, equipment, STEM outreach programs and support for students.

More than $2.6 million has been provided through the generosity of businesses and individuals who have supported the Foundation over the past ten years. “Northwest State is an extremely valuable asset for our region and state. The College is educating the workforce that is needed to keep our region competitive,” stated Peter Beck, chair of the NSCC Foundation. “With the help of the Foundation, NSCC has been able to continue to make education affordable for everyone.”

The NSCC Foundation has more than 25 board and committee members representing Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Williams and Van Wert counties. “The Foundation board members bring valuable insight into the needs of our communities and area businesses,” commented Robbin Wilcox, NSCC director of development. “The Foundation board members are passionate about serving their community and raising money that will make an impact locally. They understand the value and importance of providing a quality education close to home.”
