Join us as we celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture at Northwest State Community College with “It’s a Fiesta” on Saturday, October 4. Free food, entertainment, music and other activities will be featured from noon to 3 p.m.
The day’s schedule includes:
- El Corazón de México Ballet Folklorico: 12:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
- Piñatas: 12:45 p.m. & 2 p.m.
- Templo Christiano Praise Band: 1:15 p.m. & 2 p.m.
- Zumba demonstration: 1:15 p.m.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy food, crafts for the kids, a Latino military heroes display, information on tracing your family tree, music by Loco Sounds and tours of NSCC. Activities will take place in and around the NSCC Atrium.
Hispanic specialties including homemade tortillas, baked goods and more will be available courtesy of local restaurants, churches, and NSCC students and staff.
“It’s a Fiesta” is free and open to the public, with freewill donations benefiting Hispanic student scholarships at NSCC.
