NSCC is seeking a qualified instructor to teach electrical courses for the Archbold and Scott Park (Toledo) locations. The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of relevant education, experience and training totaling a minimum of 5 years.
- In the Industrial Electrical I course, the instructor will introduce practical applications of DC and AC electricity principles. Key symbols, abbreviations, electrical terminology, Ohm’s Law, series, parallel and series parallel circuits will be covered.
- In the Industrial Electrical II course, instruction will include applications of control devices used in contemporary industrial electrical systems in the advanced manufacturing environment. The course includes motor theory, advanced circuits and control systems design.
- In the Electrical Prints & Troubleshooting course, the instructor will introduce the systematic elimination to locate malfunctions. Proper meter application, troubleshooting sequencing, terminology and restoring a malfunctioning system to original intent are some of the applications.
- The Motors & Motor Controls course is an advanced study and laboratory for learners who understand electrical circuits and controls, applied toward various motor devices. Coursework involves utilizing 120vac, 208/240VAC, ladder diagrams, control of AC and DC motors, motor starter sizing, circuit/overload protection, electrical motor branch wiring, VFDs, and PLCs in motor controls.
