Below are scholarships that are offered through the Northwest State Community College Foundation. Scholarship awards range from $250 to full tuition, and some scholarships are awarded to multiple students each year. Students receive their awards during a special ceremony where they are able to meet the generous donors who help make scholarships possible.

Alex Products Scholarship

  • Employed at Alex Products for a minimum of six months
  • Actively pursing math, science, business, or engineering associate degree with second preference to certificate programs
  • 2.5 GPA

AT&T Aspire Scholarship

  • Non-traditional age student  (25 years or older)
  • Successfully completed 12 credit hours

Allied Moulded Apprentice Scholarship

Archbold Rotary Club Scholarship

  • First preference non-traditional student
  • Graduate of Archbold High school
  • Current resident of Archbold
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

Arrow Tru-Line President's Scholarship

  • Pursing an associate degree in business or engineering
  • 2.5 GPA
  • First preference will be given to an ATL employee or family member, if no applicants then preference shall be given to a Fulton or Williams County student

William L. Beck Scholarship

  • First preference to a student pursuing an associate in engineering technologies (with emphasis in metals as opposed to plastics)
  • Second preference to a student pursing an associate of applied science in nursing with a 3.0 GPA
  • Preference should be given to family of Automatic Feed employees

Moe and Judy Brubaker Scholarship

  • Seeking a degree in early childhood development or business
  • First preference to non-traditional student

Ruth Camp & Joann Ohman LPN Scholarship

  • Actively pursing a licensed practical nursing certificate
  • First preference to Bryan High School graduates
  • 2.5 GPA.

Changing Lives Scholarship

  • Full-time or part-time students
  • Working toward their first degree

CK Technologies Scholarship

  • Student must be pursing an associate degree in engineering technologies or business
  • First preference will be given to a CK Technologies employee or family member
  • If no applicants from CK Technologies, then preference shall be given to a Williams County student

Clapp Family Scholarship

  • Student residing in Henry County
  • 3.0 GPA

County North Foundation Scholarship

  • Student residing in William County from West Unity, Pioneer, Edon or Montpelier
  • GPA of 2.8 or higher

Max F. Covert Scholarship

  • Awarded to NSCC student with a minimum 3.0 GPA

Jean Cox Nursing Scholarship

  • Actively pursuing an associate degree in nursing or an LPN certificate
  • Earned a 2.8 GPA at the end of the first semester
  • Nursing major who is from the five-county area

Defiance Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship

  • Given to a full-time, first year student who graduated from Defiance County High School with a minimum 2.0 GPA

Lynn & Nancy Elston Annual Scholarship

  • High school senior with a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • First preference given to graduates of North Central High School

Enfinity BNB Napoleon Solar LLC Scholarship

  • Student must be either full-time or part-time, majoring in alternative energy

Carol L. Engel Scholarship

  • The recipient shall be a student actively pursuing a Business Technologies Division degree or certificate
  • First preference will be given to students majoring in office administrative services

Francis O. Fackler Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to deserving students in need of financial aid residing in Henry County
  • Cumulative 2.5 GPA for high school/college

  • A student registering in an entrepreneurship class

First Generation Scholarship

  • The recipient must be of Latino decent with first preference for a first generation college student
  • 2.5 GPA

Fulton County Processing Scholarship

  • High school graduate with preference given to one student from each of the following county: Fulton, Lucas and Henry

Futures Scholarship

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Terry Gathman Scholarship

  • Non-traditional age student
  • Pursing an engineering degree

Gene Haas Scholarship

  • The recipient shall be a student pursing a degree in machining CNC program, machining eertificate, mechanical engineering technology or CAD/CAM

Hope Scholarship

  • Emergency fund to partially assist students in need

George Isaac Business Scholarship

  • Any candidate pursuing a business degree who is from a high school within the five-county area
  • 3.0 GPA

Marion Isaac Scholarship

  • The recipient shall be a student residing in Defiance, Fulton or Williams County

Marolyn Jones Scholarship

  • Second year student pursuing an associate degree in business, and
  • 3.0 grade point average

Lois E. Koch Nursing Scholarship

  • Student from Van Wert, actively pursuing a licensed practical nursing certificate or associate degree in nursing
  • GPA of 3.0 upon completion of the first semester in the LPN or RN program

Maumee Valley Vending Company Scholarship

  • Incoming freshman from the five-county area
  • 2.0 high school GPA
  • One candidate from each of the 5 counties if possible

Philip R. McCartney Memorial Scholarship

  • Student residing in Williams County

McDougle Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship

  • Actively pursuing an associate degree in nursing
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of the first year
  • Candidate must be from five-county service area

Metamora Scholarship

  • Graduate of Evergreen High School
  • 3.0 GPA

Northwest Ohio MEDA Entrepreneur Scholarship

  • Student registering in an entrepreneurship class

Northwest State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

  • A full-time or part-time student maintaining a 3.0 GPA
  • First preference to family members of NSCC alumni

NSCC STEM Scholarship

  • Majoring in science, technology, engineering or math
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

NSCCEA Horizon Scholarship

  • Second year, degree-seeking student at NSCC
  • 3.5 cumulative GPA

Ohio Gas Scholarship

  • Pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering or math
  • Live in the Ohio Gas service area

Allan Ohlrich Scholarship

  • The recipient shall be a student pursuing a degree in criminal justice/law enforcement
  • Must submit an essay (300-500 words)

Parkview Physicians Group Scholarship

  • Student pursing a nursing certificate or degree or medical assisting certificate
  • Living in Parkview service area
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society Scholarship

  • Any second year student maintaining 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Must be a member of PTK attending Northwest State Community College in good standing for one year  with 30-72 credit hours or higher
  • A one-page essay on how PTK is important and what leadership, scholarship, service and fellowship means must be submitted
  • Demonstrate campus leadership

David R. Rand Memorial Scholarship

  • Second year student with a 3.5 grade point average
  • Pursuing a business degree

Marie Richey CPS Memorial Scholarship

  • Any business major with a 3.0 GPA who is from the five-county area

Troy Richey Scholarship

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Preference shall be given to a veteran and/or a veteran’s spouse or children

Ricky Roell Nursing Scholarship

  • Any student from the NSCC service area pursuing an LPN certificate or associate degree in nursing at the time of awarding

Santiago Family Scholarship

  • Non-traditional age student
  • Pursing a degree in business technology

SAR Book Scholarship

  • First preference will be given to veterans or their children from Williams County who are in their second year of college

Spangler Candy Company Apprentice Scholarship

Frederick & Ileen Strobel Scholarship

  • Student majoring in engineering technologies, LPN or RN
  • First preference to a Montpelier High School graduate majoring in engineering

Jack & Vivian Taylor Scholarship

  • Second-year nursing student with a minimum of 30 credit hours
  • 3.0 GPA
  • First preference will be given to students from Williams County

Toledo Edison Scholarship

Second year student with a minimum 3.5 GPA

Van Wert Community Scholarship

  • The recipient shall be a student from Van Wert, actively pursuing a licensed practical nursing certificate or associate degree in nursing
  • GPA of 3.0 upon completion of the first semester in the LPN or RN program

Steve Walker Family Scholarship

  • Pursing a business degree or certificate, majoring in accounting
  • Lives in Defiance County

Williams County 40 & 8 Nursing Scholarship

  • First preference will be given to candidates from Williams County, with consideration given to students from Henry or Defiance County
  • The recipient shall be a full-time LPN student who has completed one semester of clinical coursework or an ADN student who has completed at least two semesters of clinical coursework
