Live From the Funderdome: Ron Scozzari of Industrial Technologies Division

Ron Scozzari, dean of the Industrial Technologies Division, joined Bryan Keller and Jon Wolfrum of Keller Trucking on Q96.5 “Live From the Funderdome.” The interview covered the programs offered in the Industrial Technologies Division, including the truck driving certificate program in partnership with Keller Trucking. There’s a growing need for professional drivers, which the program is helping to fill.

Ann Zeller Named TLCCMA President

Congratulations to Ann Zeller, allied health faculty, on her recent appointment as president of the Toledo Lucas County Chapter of Medical Assistants (TLCCMA). Ann will lead the organization for its 2017-18 year.

Retirees Honored at Luncheon

Northwest State honored six retirees recently at a special luncheon. During the event, retirees and their supervisors shared some fond memories of their time at the College. NSCC President Dr. Tom Stuckey presented each retiree with a gift of appreciation in recognition of their service.

Faculty Spotlight: Pat Hofbauer

Thanks to Pat’s hard work and dedication, NSCC was just re-approved through fall 2023 by the ODHE and the Department of Education to offer the program leading to the Ohio Prekindergarten Associate License. The recommendation reads in part: “(NSCC)’s Prekindergarten Associate License preparation program meets the Chancellor’s requirements for program approval and the State Board of Education’s minimum standards for associate level programs leading to the Prekindergarten Associate License.”

Faculty Spotlight: Lisa Becher

Lisa Becher, Business Division faculty member, was the featured speaker at a recent Paulding County Chamber lunch and learn event. She also had the honor of speaking to a Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce leadership group about entrepreneurship. Inside the classroom, her marketing 110 students recently conducted a research project and found that 67% preferred Pepsi over Coke.
