Applied Geometry & Trigonometry Instructor (Part-Time)

NSCC is seeking a qualified applied geometry & trigonometry instructor for the Archbold and Scott Park (Toledo) locations. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of relevant education/experience/training totaling a minimum of 5 years.

  • Topics include geometric terms, theorems, propositions dealing with straight lines, triangles, polygons, and circles, as well as perpendicular and parallel relationships. The course also introduces basic trigonometric functions; trigonometric tables; solutions for right and oblique triangles; use of sine, cosine, tangent and their reciprocals in the solutions of unknown angles; logarithms; and practical shop problems.
