All new students are required to either submit their ACT scores or complete the ACCUPLACER Assessment Test (Formally the COMPASS Assessment). The ACCUPLACER is a computerized placement test that covers basic skill areas in writing, reading and mathematics. You are not rewarded or penalized for your scores on the ACCUPLACER Assessment; it is just one of the many tools that your advisor will use to help you register for classes.

Once you have submitted an application for admission to Northwest State, select a date and time to take the ACCUPLACER Assessment. Please plan on about one and half hours for testing and come prepared with your N# and a photo ID.

Sign up today using the form below! If you would like to schedule a ACCUPLACER Assessment at NSCC’s Van Wert site, please call 419.238.0779 to set up an appointment.
