Applications are being accepted for a part-time Career Services Assistant. This position reports to the Dean of Student Services. Normal Weekly Hours: 20 for 11 months per year. Work hours between the hours of 7:30 a.m., end time 6:00 p.m. Hours will vary based on the instructional schedules and operational situations.
This position will work in the Career Services Office, primarily with student employment program paperwork and handling job placement activities. This grant-funded position is contracted annually through June 30 and will be renewable contingent upon the operational needs of the college and availability of Perkins grant funds.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Associate’s degree required in a related area. Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field preferred, but an Associate’s degree in any discipline will be considered.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The employee must be focused on exemplary customer service. The position also requires the ability to multi-task, be flexible, demonstrate organizational skills, ability to take initiative and adjust priorities. Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required area as well as having the ability to update skills based on new computer technology. Excellent interpersonal skills along with a customer service focus are an important part of the position.
In accordance with the School Support Personnel Agreement, this position is in Class 5 of the Support Personnel Salary Schedule with step position dependent upon past experience and educational level; starting wage range is $9.90 – $11.38 per hour.
