It is the graduating student’s responsibility to notify the College of his or her intent to graduate. Graduation petitions should be submitted to the registrar’s office as soon as possible. If the graduation petition is submitted after March 15, the graduate’s name will not be included in the commencement program.
Even if you do not plan on participating in the formal commencement ceremony, you must still submit a graduation petition to complete your degree or certificate program. You will not be considered an NSCC graduate until the petition has been received and approved by the registrar’s office.
The associate degree is awarded upon the successful completion of any one of the two-year programs. A certificate is awarded upon the successful completion of any of the one-year certificate programs. Click here for the graduation petition.
