Instructions on How to Apply for an Open Position at Northwest State Community College

For full consideration of any part-time, full-time, and substitute opportunity the College is actively recruiting for, candidates must include the following when submitting application materials:

  1. Updated cover letter stating title of position applying for. Part-time faculty applicants, see below for further instructions on cover letters.
  2. Updated resume 
  3. Northwest State Employment Application
  4. Self-Identification form 

When applying for an open position, include the title of the position in which you are applying for in your cover letter. Submit application materials to careers@northweststate.edu using the position title listed on the Position Announcement as the subject line. Physical application materials will not be accepted, unless specifically stated on the Position Announcement.

FacultyOpportunities

Candidates who are interested in Part-time Faculty opportunities must indicate academic area and/or courses interested in instructing in the cover letter. Submit all required application materials (requirements 1-4 as listed above) to careers@northweststate.edu using subject line "Part-time (academic area of interest) Faculty." Academic areas include: Allied Health and Public Service, Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Nursing.

School Commander, Law Enforcement Academy
Applications are being accepted for a part-time School Commander, Law Enforcement Academy. This part-time position is responsible for the administration and management of the Peace Officer Basic Academy in compliance with the policies and procedures established by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) of the Ohio Attorney General's Office and Northwest State Community College. Responsibilities include implementation of required curriculum, supervision of academy instructors and students, and maintenance of academy records, supplies and equipment. This position allows up to 200 hours of coordinating activities per academy.
